Selina Elena Georgievna graduated from the mathematical-mechanical faculty of Leningrad state University in 1989 with a degree in Applied mathematics and obtained qualification of mathematician-teacher. 

She began to work in the University in 1990. She worked as engineer-programmer, leading engineer-programmer, senior lecturer, associate Professor at the Department of IAM, a tutor at the Department of IAM, combining research and teaching activities. 

Research interests include thermophysical properties of substances, the large-scale equations of state, fundamental equation of state. 

Currently she combines research and teaching activities, publishes in academic journals, participates in international conferences, produces technical manuals. Highly regarded by staff and students of the University.
